Easter

We started off our Easter morning bright and early.  Both kids were up late last night, so you would have thought they would have slept in a little bit, but they didn't.  Nicholas woke us up excited that the Easter bunny had come and wanted us to come see the goodies that he put in his basket.  We went to the dining room and watched them both pick apart their baskets with excitement, exclaiming over their new books, toys and other goodies.  (Nicholas did tell me later that the Easter Bunny didn't bring him Cars Playdoh..lol, I guess we'll have to ask Santa Claus to bring that).  Trying to get either one to eat breakfast was unsuccessful, they both ate a cookie that the Easter bunny brought and that was the end of it.

We got ready for church and made it almost a half hour early.  I guess that's what happens when you think 10:30 church starts at 10, ha ha ha.  They were passing out donut holes, and thankfully the kids ate at least those.  We found our seats and enjoyed the service until Christopher had a melt down and threw himself down in the dirt because Nicholas took one of his snacks.  He was pretty much done at that point.

From there we went home, had lunch and took a rest for a few hours before it was time to start cooking.  Grandma came early and watched Hop (the movie) with us (for the second time that day).  Jimmy's mom came over too to have dinner with us and for once I was able to get everything ready on time!  We enjoyed dinner and then let the kids out for the Easter egg hunt in the backyard.  Nicholas was so excited!  He ran around the yard with basket in hand picking up as much as he could.  Christopher could have cared less.  He liked the Elmo eggs, but would pick one up and throw it back down on the ground.  He was happy just to be outside.

All in all, we had a great Easter and we were blessed to be able to share it with family.
