Christmas

Nicholas loved Christmas this year! He had so much fun Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, especially because he had the cousins to play with.

We spent Christmas Eve with the Jensen's for their annual Christmas Party. Nicholas was so excited to see the presents and couldn't wait to open them. After dinner all the kids gathered around the tree and it was chaos. He was so happy opening presents and tossing the paper as he ripped each gift open. We drove home that night to get ready for Santa Claus to come for our first Christmas in our house.

Christmas morning, after Nicholas woke up, I took him into the living room to show him that Santa Claus came and left him presents. We pulled out everything from his stocking (mostly cars stuff) and I asked him if he wanted to open presents, and he said no. After I got him to open the first one, he started to get into it, and was so excited with each one he opened. The funny thing was that when he was opening a box with clothes in it, as soon as he saw the tissue paper in the box, he said no, and wanted to go on to the next box. I have no idea how he knew there were clothes in side. His favorite toy was the Elmo Live toy from Santa.

Later, the cousins came over and played with him, which made him even happier. We had dinner at home which I cooked all by myself, and everything turned out GREAT!

The next day, we went to Jimmy's parents house, and Grandma and Grandpa gave Nicholas his first bike! He was so excited he didn't know what to do with it. He sat on the seat and pushed his way around the floor with his feet. We were trying to show him how to pedal, but he needs more practice.

All in all, it was a great Christmas this year!
