We went to Shepherd of the Hills in Porter Ranch to watch the fireworks with our friends Rola & Jeff. We only had to make 2 trips to Wal Mart to get things we forgot to bring with us, but we had fun even in the 90 degree heat. We kept spraying him with a water bottle to try to keep him cool. Nicholas enjoyed being outside and people watching (what he does best).
When the fireworks started he was so amazed! Jimmy tried to cover his eyes because fireworks debris was showering down on us and he batted his hand away so he could see! He watched halfway through and got a little fussy then went to sleep! I couldn't believe he could sleep through all of that noise. We were worried that he had gotten some of the fireworks debris in his eyes and he was crying like we've never seen on the way to the car (now that we look back, he was tired and we kept waking him up). We put water in his eyes and were trying to open his eyes to look and he was not having it. We tormented him a little more when we got home trying to flush his eyes and look with a flash light to see if we could see anything, but his eyes looked clear. I'm sure he was asking himself why are they doing this to me? This morning he is fine, other than a small fever (from teething).
