Halloween Parade

We went to day-care to watch Nicholas in his school Halloween parade today. Every year, each class makes their own costumes and parade around the playground. I tried to ask Nicholas what his class was going to be, but he wouldn't tell me. They changed the way things were this year and paired some of the classes together to have the same theme for their costumes. The two older classes sang a few Halloween themed songs and then the parade started. Nicholas' class was dressed up as Dalmatians and they were paired up with one of the preschool classes who were dressed up as firemen. It was so cute! Nicholas was so excited and was one of the only kids in his class not crying. They went around the playground twice and then trick-or-treated before going back to class for their Halloween party. I wanted to get a picture of his class, but most of the kids were crying and attached to their parents by the end of it. Nicholas didn't want us to leave, but one of his teachers came and distracted him so we could leave.

We also carved pumpkins today. We weren't going to do it this year, but we both felt bad for not doing it. We stayed with the Toy Story theme and Jimmy carved a Woody and a Buzz pumpkin for each of the kids.
