Happy New Year!

What a roller coaster of a day! It started off great and then went downhill for a little while and ended on a high note! I got back on the weight loss wagon this morning and got my butt out of bed early to go to a weight watchers meeting. One of Nicholas' friend's (Elissa) mom's was there and invited us over for New Year's Eve, and we had nothing else to do, so I accepted. We were going to Jimmy's mom's house in the afternoon, with a quick stop to Goodwill to make one more donation for the year, when Jimmy scraped the side of someone's car. Our GMC is not even a year old yet, and we are now the proud owners of a long scrape on the side of the door. I was not happy in the least, but after exchanging information we went to Jimmy's mom's house anyway. We ended staying for a couple of hours, and then dashed home to make some yummy crab dip to take to the party and then headed out. We all had so much fun! I was worried about how kid friendly their house would be because Christopher is very curious these days. But we were able to relax and have fun. He did take apart a picture frame, but that was the extent of his distruction for the night. The boys had fun running around with all of the girls and we celebrated the East Coast New Year, stayed for another hour or two. We changed all of the kids into their jammies and they had a little dance party of their own, and after Christopher fell asleep on my lap we headed home. Both boys were wiped out, which is a true sign of a good time!
